Observability is increasingly becoming a vital part of Software Development, in the SRE and DevOps era. Successful, reliable, and efficient software projects should consider Observability as a key component of the software’s engineering process and life cycle. “Observability As Code” is the best practice we preach for end-to-end monitoring.

We held a joint webinar with Splunk to talk about “Splunk Observability As Code” on December 14th, 2021, watch the recording now!

Splunk Observability As Code

In fact, Observability is one of the key capabilities of The Digital Highway for Continuous Software Delivery and The Effective SRE Tooling, Digital Architects Zurich introduced. We presented this deeply in a previous blogpost that you can still refer to for a more in-depth presentation.

In this joint webinar with Splunk, Tobias and Christian will take you through the “Observability As code” framework and best practices using Splunk’s Observability Suite. Our speakers will also demonstrate how this ability to do things “as Code” for example allows packaging monitoring configuration and dashboard set-up code alongside the application.

In addition, we will show you why this is important when speeding up the velocity of delivery to keep quality aligned to the reliability goals set forward for your application. We will further demonstrate on a live example how to realise “Dashboard as Code” using Splunk Observability.
